Getting started in PSO2 can be a bit confusing but we’ve put together the perfect roadmap to get you through level 75 with all the info you need on mags, gear and leveling. We’ve got your leveling locations, mag training, boosts and of course gear all in one condensed guide that you can reference for PSO2.
Mag Training: The Key to Specialization
In Phantasy Star Online 2 (PSO2), your Mag’s stats play a crucial role in your character’s development. To maximize your potential, it’s essential to train your Mag to specialize in a single stat: Melee, Ranged, or Techniques. Here’s how:
Pure Melee Mag
Feeds: 9-star to 1-star melee weapons Classes: Hunter, Techer (melee), Braver (katana), Bouncer (Soaring Blades, physical Jet Boots), Fighter, Hero (Episode 5) Tip: Before your Mag gains a level in Dexterity, feed it some 4-star furniture to remove those unwanted Dex levels.
Pure Ranged Mag
Feeds: 9-star to 1-star ranged weapons Classes: Gunner, Ranger, Braver (bow), Hero (Episode 5) Tip: Before your Mag gains a level in Dexterity, feed it some 5-star furniture to remove those unwanted Dex levels.
Pure Techniques Mag
Feeds: 9-star to 1-star technique weapons Classes: Forcer, Summoner, Bouncer (Jet Boots), Hero (Episode 5) Tip: Before your Mag gains a level in Dexterity, feed it some 6-star furniture to remove those unwanted Dex levels.
Pure Dexterity Mag
Feeds: Skill Disks (crafted for more EXP) Classes: Braver, Bouncer, Phantom (Episode 6)
If you’ve already messed up your Mag’s stats, don’t worry! You can purchase Level Down Devices from the Ex-Cube Shop to fix this, or consider starting fresh with a new Mag or character.
